These 5 Yoga Studios Will Turn Anyone Into A Yogi

“Bel, you’re not flexible enough to go for a yoga class. Why bother joining it?” I’ve always wanted to join yoga but I was not comfortable to show that I’m not capable of doing it. Just about a year ago, I finally muster up all my courage to tap on the reserve button and went for my first yoga class ever in my life.

“Are you telling me that this is your first time trying yoga? Omg, can’t believe that you survived through the advanced class!” the woman at the reception said excitedly. It was an advanced level power yoga class in a hot room – Hot Power Flow. That 1-hour hot power flow had me drenched in my sweat, which barely happened to me cs I seemed to keep all my sweat in the body. LOL

If you are a beginner like me, fret not because they usually have options or alternatives if you are unable to do any further moves, you can always opt to stay at where you are. Yoga advocates us to be present and challenge your limit not others, so don’t get stressed out if you couldn’t do what others could do. It takes time, practices and the willingness to challenge your own limit.

For me, the best moments are always the first and last 5 minutes, you are allowed to calm yourself, set your intention for the practice and the rest of your day. It helps me to tap into myself, be more conscious and finds clarity to start my day.

“Yoga practices help to tap into yourself, be more conscious and finds clarity.”

So, are you ready to immerse in the practice for a quick mental reset and a good body stretch? I have summed up a few studios that are in my favourite list, perhaps you could try it out too! But remember, always start with the beginner level kay?

1. The Flow Studio

This minimalist studio with bright interior and a pinkish touch had me in awe. The classes are usually booked out fast so it is best to get your spot one or two weeks earlier.
